Amir Alav is an Iranian-Canadian recording producer, guitarist, and sound engineer based in Vancouver. He started making music in 2006, coming up through Iran's indie and post-punk underground, playing in bands and running workshops on production and guitar recording, where he taught how to shape tone and capture it with the right gear.

In the years since, he has toured across Europe and North America, playing festival stages and small clubs.

His approach to production is hybrid: analog and digital running together, depending on what the song needs.

Today, Amir works out of his own studio in Vancouver, where a background in software engineering feeds into how he handles sound design, production, and mixing.
