About
Amir Alav is an Iranian-Canadian record producer and guitarist based in Vancouver, Canada. His passion for music began in 2006 in Iran’s underground scene, where he built his skills as a session player, producer, and mixing engineer. Since then, Amir has performed widely and led workshops on recording techniques and guitar tone production.
As a record producer and session guitarist, Amir has toured across Europe, the US, and Canada, performing at festivals, theaters, and other venues. In his home studio, he combines analog and digital gear, using a hybrid approach to create sounds inspired by indie, post-punk, and synth-pop.
Amir is also a software engineer, blending technical expertise with his love of music to push the boundaries of production and sound design. This mix of modern technology and vintage equipment defines his unique style, seen in both his live performances and production work. Amir’s journey reflects his commitment to art and innovation as he explores new horizons in music.
