About
Amir Alav is an Iranian-Canadian producer, guitarist, and sound engineer based in Vancouver. He started making music in 2006 in Iran’s underground scene, playing in different bands and running small workshops on recording and mixing.
Over the years, he’s developed a sound that sits somewhere between post-punk and indie, blending analog gear with modern production tools. He’s toured through Europe, the U.S., and Canada, playing everywhere from festivals to small clubs.
These days, Amir works out of his studio in Vancouver, using his background in software engineering to bring a technical edge to his sound design and production.
